Costabella at 37

Nelia Neri

HAPPY colors were all over the place when Costabella Tropical Beach Hotel, the longest operating resort in Mactan, marked its 37th anniversary. With the guests garbed in bright, floral casuals, the mood was festive as festive could be. Dubbed “Chill and Grill,” the celebration started off with cocktails at the Boardwalk and then went on to a super fun and yummy yum barbecue luau at the beachfront.

The happy event was also a Clients’ Appreciation Night where the beach hotel’s top producers were honored and presented with specially designed Nautilus shell trophies. They were H.I.S. (Phils.) Travel Corp., Hi-S Tour, Booking.com, Gulliver’s Travel Associates, Hana Tours and Phil. Travel Factory.

Kudos to the heirs of the late founders Luis and Merceditas Alvarez for carrying on their parents’ legacy. Take a bow, Marita A. Arambulo, Lui Alvarez, Mariles A. Nable, Merche A. Castro and Marisse A. Sy.
