Cuenco: Gorgeous reds to try

Joanna Cuenco

“SHE’S got that red lip, classic thing that you like.” I recently saw “Miss Americana,” a documentary on Taylor Swift, on Netflix. While I have mixed feelings about the film itself, I feel sure about one thing: Taylor has perfected the red lip.

Continuing from last week’s tips on easy ways to wear a red lip, here are a few gorgeous fiery colors to try:

Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint in Uncensored

Described by Fenty Beauty as a “weightless, longwear liquid lipstick with a soft matte finish,” the shade Uncensored is meant to be a universally flattering red. Depending on your skin tone, this can look a little more orange or a little darker. The uniquely shaped applicator makes it easy to apply the product with precision—a must when working with bold, liquid color. Also, how cool and unique is the packaging?

NYX Slim Lip Pencil

I don’t see a lot of people using this product, but for me, it holds up just as well as high-end lip liners for a fraction of the price. These glide on smoothly and give a long-wearing matte finish, if you don’t want to constantly worry about getting red lipstick on your teeth or staining your face. There are a few shades of red to choose from NYX: True Red, Plush Red, or deeper shades Cabaret and Burgundy.

Happy Skin Moisturizing Matte Lippie in Wine Night

Happy Skin’s crayon lipsticks continue to be perhaps the brand’s best-known product. Happy Skin is constantly releasing collaborations and new shades for its Moisturizing Matte Lippies, so there is a red (or really, any shade) for everyone. I personally like this product the most out of all of Happy Skin’s lip products since these are very creamy, comfortable to wear and highly pigmented.

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
