Espina: Culinary Journeys and Christmas

Mila C. Espina

INDEED, Christmas is around the corner and the yuletide events are catching fast with our schedules.

Marco Polo Plaza Cebu will have the celebration of Indian Cuisine called Khana on Nov. 6 at 6 p.m. Then plans for the lighting of the Christmas tree will follow.

The Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino’s lighting of the Christmas tree will be on Nov. 16. The hotel has chosen Kapwa Ko, Mahal Ko as its beneficiary. Kapwa will spend its 26th anniversary in November with its volunteers and beneficiaries. Members of the board of directors and staff of Kapwa will join the event.

Radisson Blu Cebu and Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa have been crafting new themes for their yuletide celebrations. There will be the traditional lighting of the Christmas tree. Plantation Bay is likewise in the midst of welcoming Christmas and New Year.

Christmas cheers for the less privileged is part of WeCare’s Christmas celebration. Speechcom and the University of San Jose-Recoletos’ Dramatics and Cultural Ensemble alumni will devote some time and resources with a few selected barangays. They will also have a Christmas homecoming on Dec. 2 at the residence of Ramon Sebastian.

The Knights of Columbus will have its Christmas program at the St. Theresa’s College auditorium.

More cheery Christmas celebrations are here to come!
