Kekert: A workshop for Filipino creatives

Kristalle Kekert

Dual Story brought together students, freelancers and start-ups nationwide to help kickstart creative businesses in a three-module workshop. To help Filipino creatives substantiate more growth, the online workshop dove into business fundamentals such as placing a price tag and going through the creative process before pitching the business.

Dual Story’s finance director and Ready2Adult Philippines vlogger Charmaine de Leon talked about pricing strategies for creative services and citing reasons as to why businesses fail.

Discussing ideation and management in the creative process, Dual Story’s creative director Joy Pacursa, alongside senior designer Bunny Bailoses, differentiated both the creative and design process. Also having taught creatives to craft successful pitches for their businesses, Dual Story’s chief executive officer and chief branding strategist Michelle Joanna Lim explains that while pitches bring support and strengthen ideas, many creatives also shy away from the act or lack resources required to give a solid pitch.

As a rapidly growing branding agency for purposeful visionaries, this workshop served as a milestone celebration for Dual Story, as it enters its second year in the business.
