Kekert: Events in town

CREATING a scene straight out of the ‘80s video game, a Super Mario-themed event for Ryu, the only son of Jim and Rhoda (nee Wani) Obias and brother to Yuki, was held at the Silver Hills Clubhouse to celebrate his 7th birthday!

Taking it to the next level, mom Rhoda put together so many party supplies, some even DIY, to recreate the game zone, including the classic Super Mario Question Mark yellow box! Bringing in some game elements was the Yoshi Egg creatively filled with a number inside to match a prize, all hidden around the garden. Even the “Pin The Mario Moustache” game made a fun twist! For an inspired energy boost, a sweet treat table was filled with desserts to choose from, including a personalized fondant cake paired with cupcakes—all Super Mario, of course!

Before Game Over, the birthday song was sung and handed out were the coolest Mario and Luigi pillows as take-home presents.

Peace is paved with kingdom saved, Happy 7th Birthday Ryu, and Power Up!
