Kekert: The CIS Residence Hall

Kristalle Kekert

A MODERN-DAY student accommodation strategically situated within the Cebu International School (CIS) grounds is set to rise before June 2020.

To mark CIS’ newest facility, the contract signing took place at the Oakridge Executive Lounge attended by some members of the CIS community, together with architect Whinstone Doronila and project manager Jose Allan Mellijor of Li Hua Ventures Development Corp.

Simple, smart and secured low-cost student living, the three-storey structure will house a total number of 20 residential rooms (10 for boys and 10 for girls) with 18 rooms for two students, and two rooms for four students, respectively, as well as staff rooms for the residence hall manager and residence assistants.

At the soon-to-be CIS dormitory, amenities include a dining / multi-purpose hall designed for 50 people, a full-service kitchen operated by a professional concessionaire serving full-board meals, dedicated workspaces, a laundry room with self-service machines, a sundries corner / mini convenience store and 24-hour security.

Conveniently catering to both domestic and international students, this has been CIS’ roadmap to constantly improve resources toward progressive development in many different aspects, to provide the best learning for the benefit of its students. This residence hall not only provides safe, secure and convenient housing, it likewise provides opportunities to continuously practice the IB learners profile in everyday living.

Congratulations, CIS!
