Ramon and Hopee’s wedding

Nelia Neri

AS the song goes, “Love is lovelier the second time around...” This is the story of Ramon Torralba and Hopee Solano who were high school sweethearts at UP College Cebu decades ago. They were not meant to be at that time so they went their separate ways. When they crossed paths again two years ago, the flame re-kindled, and soon led to an afternoon wedding one beautiful Saturday at the St. Therese Parish Church. Rev. Fr. Louie Punzalan, SVD officiated at the nuptial rites attended by family and friends led by the bride’s mother, Generosa Solano, the groom’s Dad Choy Torralba, and Mom Gigi Diores Tudtud.

Hopee was a radiant bride in a Cary Santiago creation. Her entourage wore gowns lovingly created by her talented sister-in-law Kate Torralba, who also did the gowns of the couple’s youthful Moms, Geñing and Gigi.

The wedding reception was a dinner affair at the ballroom of Summit Galleria. It was a happy gathering of kith and kin, some coming all the way from the USA.

All the best to the newlyweds!
