That ‘Savoy experience,’ soon in Cebu

Monica R. Lopez

THE newest player in Newport City Metro Manila is a hotel that introduces a whole new meaning to hotel living: Savoy Hotel Manila.

It has 684 rooms ranging from its standard rooms to its executive suites. The hotel has three food and beverage outlets: the Savoy Café, an all-day buffet dining spot boasting of Asian and Western dishes; The Poolside, for those indulgent treats after a quick dip; and Zabana Bar, where one can hang back while sipping on cocktails and drinks. Those staying at its executive suites are given exclusive access to the Connect Lounge, an extension of Savoy Café, where one can dine and relax.

It also has themed spaces called The Squares, a facility that provides amenities like high-speed internet connection and express checkout counters. It’s open anytime of the day so guests can easily enjoy this spot whether to hold intimate meetings or just relax with friends and family.

More than its facilities and amenities, one can expect accessibility when staying at Savoy Hotel Manila as it is located within the entertainment center of Newport City and located across the Ninoy Aquino International Airport - Terminal 3.

Opened last June, this property under Megaworld Corp. is a 12-storey hotel providing a “space to experience” be it for business or pleasure.

“We give you the space and it’s up to you to create something out of it,” said marketing and communications manager Samantha C. Manuel who, together with the rest of the Savoy Hotel Manila team, visited the Queen City last Oct. 2 to introduce the hotel to the Cebu media through a press conference held at Harolds Hotel.

Savoy Hotel Manila is the second hotel under its homegrown Savoy brand, with the first Savoy Hotel in Boracay. Soon, Cebuanos can expect another Savoy Hotel in Mactan Newtown.
