A 33-YEAR-OLD man died on the spot, while his twin brother was injured after they were thrown off a motorcycle when its tire hit an unpaved portion of a road under construction in Liloan town in northern Cebu.

Dead on the spot was Reymond Dayday Sepe, while still under observation in a hospital is Richard Dayday Sepe, both 33 years old and residents of Barangay Tabla, Liloan, said Patrolman Jicliff Guilaran, traffic investigator of Liloan Police Station.

Guilaran said the victims were traveling the road in Barangay Jubay, with Richard as driver, when the motorcycle they were riding hit the unpaved portion of the road. The motorcycle crashed, resulting in the death of Reymond.

Police believe Richard was driving fast, and no warning device was installed in the road under construction.

Another person, identified as Mary Ann Suson, 42, of Mandaue City, was affected, as the helmet worn by one of the victims was thrown under the vehicle driven by Suson.

Suson was unhurt, though, said Guilaran.

Police Major Eric Gingoyon, chief of Liloan Police Station, reminded motorists not to drive fast and to always take care to prevent road accidents. (BBT/LMY)
