1-year-old child, 2 others new Covid-19 cases in Talisay City

THREE new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases were recorded in Talisay City on Tuesday, May 26, 2020.

Mayor Gerald Anthony "Samsam" Gullas Jr. announced in his Facebook page that the three new cases are from Barangay Laray, Tanke and San Roque.

The first new case is from Barangay Laray who was a direct contact and a family member of Patient Talisay 13 (PT13).

Gullas said the patient was already in the city's isolation facility and was isolated before she was swabbed by the Talisay City Health Office. She will be transferred to another Covid-19 facility.

The second new case is a one-year-and-eight-month-old male from Barangay Tanke. The child has symptoms of an influenza like-illness (ILI) when he was swabbed. He is already at the isolation facility with his mother.

The third new case is a 46-year-old male from Dawis in Barangay San Roque. He is currently admitted at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City.

With the three new cases, Talisay City now has a total of 44 Covid-19 cases, with six deaths and one recovery. (JCT)
