1.8M national ID cards sent to Central Visayas

THE Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) in Central Visayas has received 1,881,012 national identification cards out of the 5,705,777 individuals who have registered in the region since February 2021.

It said 1,067,226 cards have been distributed to residents in Cebu, out of the 3,638,804 Cebuano registrants.

There were also 463,367 cards sent to Bohol, out of 1,041,042 registrants.

Clare Coronado, public information officer of PSA-Central Visayas, said the card delivery rate has already reached 90 percent in the region, adding that the Philippine Postal Corporation is the one sending the cards to the registrants. (PAC/LMY)
