TWO security guards died after a firefight at a convenience store in a gasoline station 11:30 p.m. Tuesday on S. Osmeña Street, in Barangay Mabolo, Cebu City.

The fatalities were identified as Anjen Lagmay, 21, and Junifer Teniano, 24.

Initial investigation showed the two had an old grudge before the incident.

Teniano, a resident of Guihulngan City, Negros Oriental, reportedly was the one who approached Lagmay.

A witness saw Teniano grapple with Lagmay before the shootout happened. He then reported it to the security guards of nearby Cebu Port Authority (CPA).

The Maritime Police reported the incident to Cebu City Police Station 4 after the CPA guards informed them about the incident.

Investigators found Lagmay lying outside the store while Teniano was inside.

Lagmay and Teniano succumbed to gunshot wounds in different parts of their bodies. (KAL/SunStar Cebu)
