TWO persons were wounded by stray bullet after a police officer's service firearm accidentally went off past 2 p.m. Friday, September 28, outside a bank in Barangay Poblacion, Talibon, Bohol.

The officer, identified as Police Officer 3 Dante Vincent Auxtero, surrendered himself and his pistol to the responding police team.

Wounded were Jesryl Bustamante Polbos, 28, and Rita Bautista Gupita, 41.

Auxtero is currently assigned in Lapu-Lapu City Police Office-Station 3.

Investigation showed Austero went to bank in Poblacion for a transaction. Before he went inside, he deposited his pistol.

When he unloaded and cleared the gun, it accidentally went off toward the tiled floor and its splinters hit the victims. (KAL)
