Sunnexdesk

A TOTAL of 201 persons were apprehended by the Talisay City Police Office for violating the 24-hour curfew implemented in the city.

The said number was recorded within the first three days of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ), which begun March 30, 2020.

Most of those apprehended were minors. Some were caught playing basketball and were reportedly unaware of the said order and that the city is under an ECQ.

Talisay City Mayor Gerald Anthony “Samsam” Gullas said that residents need to understand that the current Covid-19 pandemic and the measures the city is undertaking are something to be taken seriously.

The purpose of the ECQ is to limit the number of people out on the streets. (JCT)

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
