4 arrested in Barangay Ermita drug bust

FOUR persons were caught in a drug bust at 10:51 p.m. Thursday, November 8, in Sitio Bato, Barangay Ermita, Cebu City.

Seized from the suspects were 14 sachets of white crystals believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as shabu, worth P191,160.

The arrested suspects were Janette Bagay Castro, Kenneth Forreon Sidlakan, Leonora Castillanes Ferolino and Jerome Torrejos Gerunda.

Complaints of violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed against the suspects before the Office of the Cebu City Prosecutor.

The operatives of Cebu City Police Station 5 led by their commander Chief Inspector John Kareen Escober also confiscated other pieces of evidence, including drug paraphernalia. (KAL)
