4 hurt in Dumanjug road accident

FOUR individuals, including a minor, were injured in a vehicular incident in Barangay Liong, Dumanjug town in southern Cebu Monday afternoon, May 16, 2022.

Police Corporal Marlo Sentillas, investigating officer of Dumanjug Police Station, identified the victims as Ponciano Aninipot, driver of the motorcycle; and passengers Rosa Aninipot, Elma Pisalbot and the minor.

The victims are all residents of Barangay Liong.

Investigation revealed that the motorcycle was hit by a car driven by Philip John Lopez, 28, a resident of Barangay Bongoyan, Borbon.

The motorcycle and car were traveling in the same direction when Lopez lost control and sideswiped the motorcycle.

The victims were brought to the Barili District Hospital as they sustained minor injuries. They were discharged afterwards.

Both parties settled amicably, as Lopez promised to shoulder all the medical expenses of the victims, as well as the cost of the damaged motorcycle. (GDC)
