FIVE suspected drug personalities were caught in separate operations on Tuesday dawn, August 14, in two villages in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.

The suspects yielded 4.54 grams of white crystals believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) worth P53,572 to operatives of City Drug Enforcement Unit led by Chief Inspector Jaime Tolentino and City Intelligence Branch led by Superintendent Mark Gifter Sucalit.

At 1:20 a.m. Tuesday, Ramil Albios Sabella, 45; Ruel Castro Garro, 43; and Rosilyn Garro Paunil, 41, were arrested in Sitio Mustang, Barangay Pusok.

Seized from them were 3.82 grams of shabu worth P45,076.

In the old public utility vehicles' terminal in Barangay Pajo, the operatives caught Vigyl Macazero Borces, 41, and Roger Lazarte Bargamento, 43, at 2:30 a.m. and confiscated from them 0.72 gram of shabu.

The contraband has a Dangerous Drugs Board value of P8,496.

Sucalit said the suspects are small-time players and his personnel are tracking down the suspects' suppliers.

The suspects will be facing complaints for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, before the Lapu-Lapu City Prosecutor's Office.
