EIGHTY—EIGHT personnel from the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office (LCPO) turned out negative for illegal drug use in the recent drug testing.

Police Colonel Elmer Lim, LCPO director, disclosed this in a press conference Wednesday, January 25, 2023, or a week after the testing was conducted on January 18.

Lim said he also submitted himself to the drug testing along with five station commanders.

Lim said the drug testing was made in accordance with the directive of Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Rodolfo Azurin Jr. on intensified cleansing.

Among those included in the drug test were the 28 volunteers of the Community-Based Drug Rehabilitation Program from Barangay Mactan.

But Lim did not disclose the result of their drug test. (MKG)
