THE Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) chairman of Barangay Bayong, Balamban, and a companion were arrested in a drug operation in Gaas, Balamban past 11 p.m., Tuesday, September 18.

SK Chairman Regie Ponce Abanto and Renan Batuhan Sotto of Barangay Luz, Cebu City were arrested with 12 grams of shabu worth worth P141,600.

In a separate police operation in Barangay Talaytay, Argao, Marloe Limbaga was killed in a shootout with the police past 3 p.m.

Limbaga, a former convict, was a drug surrenderer. He had been listed in the drug watchlist of Sibonga Police Station.

The suspect reportedly was the first one to shoot at the poseur buyer, who was not hit. (KAL/With Fe Marie Dumaboc of Superbalita)
