BIR 13 to auction off 7 properties

THE Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) 13, which covers Cebu and Bohol, will auction off seven properties, including condominium units, hotels, residential and agricultural lots at their regional office on Archbishop Reyes Ave., Cebu City at 2 p.m. on April 18.

BIR 13 Director Aynie Mandajoyan-Dizon said that the properties are listed as distrained or levied properties of delinquent taxpayers.

Dizon said that notices of the auction were published last March 12 and 19, 2018. The third and final notice was posted yesterday.

“To avoid seizure of properties for failure to pay the correct tax obligation, delinquent taxpayers are advised, as early as possible, to settle their corresponding tax deficiencies in accordance with the rules and procedures in the conduct of the audit,” Dizon said.

She said that the BIR, through its Bids and Awards Committee-Acquired Assets (BAC-AA), reserves the right to reject any or all bids received and to withdraw properties from the auction sale.

She added that the properties for sale are on “as is where is” bases and prices are subject to change without prior notice.

She also said that the payment of the sale should be made in cash or manager’s check. It should be issued in the name of the commissioner of the agency.

The payment must be made in a BIR authorized bank for the account of BIR. (EOB)
