Body of 51-year-old man found in Bohol

A 51-YEAR-OLD man was found dead in a grassy lot in Purok 3, Sitio Linaw, Barangay Tangaran, Clarin town in Bohol at 7 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2022.

Residents in the area traced the origin of the foul smell and found the victim already in a state of decomposition.

The victim was later identified as Pablo Aton, 51, of Barangay Nahawan, Clarin.

The bloodied victim had a deformed left jaw.

Aton was last seen at 6 p.m. Monday, July 25, 2022, riding a tricycle along with Reynante Lungay on their way to the house of a certain Tony Cañete in Barangay Bacani, also in Clarin.

Lieutenant Albert Sator, chief of Clarin Police Station, told SunStar Cebu the incident was reported at their station early Wednesday morning by Tangaran village chair Leonila Lopez.

Investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of Aton's death. (BBT, TPT)
