PASSENGER vehicles traveling to and from southern Cebu were stranded due to a boulder blocking the highway in Barangay Hagdan, Oslob town, Cebu on Saturday morning, July 9, 2022.

Only motorcycles were able to pass the said highway, reports said.

Second District Board Member Raymond Joseph Calderon asked for the patience of those passing the said area.

(Motorists are asked for their patience while concerned agencies are still working on the big rock that led to the stranding of buses and private vehicles passing Barangay Hagdan in Oslob town.)

Cebu has been experiencing moderate to heavy rains in the past week due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ).

The state weather bureau said the intermittent weather condition may continue until the weekend, which can cause flash floods and landslides in vulnerable areas.
