Boulder crashes into road under construction in Mantalongon, Dalaguete

Sunnexdesk

BOULDERS rolled from a mountain and blocked a portion of an ongoing road construction in Sitio Lapa in the mountain village of Mantalongon, Dalaguete, Monday morning, September 24.

Senior Police Officer 1 Noeh Rosales, desk officer, said what happened was not a landslide as no big part of the soil eroded.

He said they received a report about the incident at 8 a.m.

The boulders fell while the workers of QM Builders were working, but no one was hit. Rosales said QM Builders’ heavy equipment was used in clearing the road.

The police said heavy rain must have dislodged the boulder from the mountain top. (KAL)
