Sunnexdesk

TO ENSURE a smooth transition from outgoing and elected officials on June 30, a local governance transition team has been formed at the Cebu Provincial Capitol.

Issued on April 3, Executive Order 4 provides for the creation of the team, with Gov. Hilario Davide III as the chairperson and Vice Gov. Agnes Magpale as the vice chairperson.

The creation of the team is mandated by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) through Memorandum Circular 2019-39.

The executive order also provides for all Capitol department heads to be part of the team.

Its primary role is to conduct an inventory of properties and secure all official documents and records for the turnover.

These documents include a government assessment report for calendar year 2018, a 2018 report from the Commission on Audit, contracts and loans and agreements, comprehensive development plan, local development investment plan for calendar year 2019 and an annual investment plan for 2019.

Other documents include a comprehensive land use or physical framework plan, capability development plan, executive-legislative agenda, organizational structure, inventory of personnel by nature of appointment, executive orders and full disclosure policy documents.

Aside from this, the team will also ensure the timely submission of the accomplished Elective Local Official Personnel Data Sheet of incoming officials, not later than July 8, to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan and DILG field office. (RTF)
