Capitol pours P322M for infra, road projects in northern Cebu

THE Cebu Provincial Government is pouring in at least P322 million worth of infrastructure and road projects in the City of Bogo and municipalities of San Remigio, Medellin, and Daanbantayan.

The majority of these projects are concreting and improvement of road sections. In a broadcast report by Sugbo News on March 1, Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia said that these road projects will boost the tourism sector of these areas.

She said that proper and improved roads contribute to the opening up of economic activities in the countryside, which are aligned with the Enhanced Countryside Development program of Capitol.

Here’s the latest list of projects for northern Cebu based on Sugbo News’ March 1 broadcast report:

• P48.11 million for the Bateria-Libertad road section

• P7.2 million for the Tominjao road section

• P14.7 million for the Tominjao-Lanao-Poblacion road section

• P54.85 million for the Maya-Talisay provincial road

• P1 million for the Barangay Punta road section

• P6 million for the Poblacion causeway
