REGULAR and casual workers of the Cebu Provincial Government can finally celebrate the holidays joyfully. This after the Cebu Provincial Board approved the fourth supplemental budget this year worth P104.4 million, which included the incentives for Capitol’s regular and casual employees. There are currently 1,741 of them. Danilo Rodas, Provincial Budget officer, said following the approval of the fourth supplemental budget last Monday, regular and casual employees will receive P25,000 each as based on their Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA). Rodas said the CNA incentive this year increased by around P5,000 from last year. Last year, regular and casual employees received P20,000. The CNA incentive came from the savings collected by the Capitol due to cost-cutting measures and systems improvement. Aside from the employees’ incentives, the 4th supplemental budget also includes P36 million. It would serve as operational expenses for the provincial and district hospitals and the Cebu South Bus Terminal. The rest will be used as assistance to local government units, Rodas said. (JKV)
