THE second sari-sari store under the "Tindahan Mo, Ablihan ni Tsip" program of Carmen Police Station in northern Cebu was turned over to its second recipient on Wednesday, June 29, 2022.

The ceremony was attended by municipal Councilor Rashid Tacocong, lawyer Rofel Kiamco, legal counsel from the Municipal Advisory Council, and other invited guests.

The "Tindahan Mo, Ablihan ni Tsip" and feeding program of Carmen Police Station headed by its chief, Major Eric Gingoyon, is intended for the poorest of the poor in the municipality.

Julia Pepito, the second recipient of the project, was very grateful to the police after her old store that was damaged by Typhoon Odette on December 16, 2021 has been replaced with a new one.

Pepito, who earns a living through house-to-house caroling, said the donation was timely as she could no longer build back her sari-sari store due to her old age and lack of funds.

The sari-sari store is already equipped with grocery and other food items.

On May 18, 2022, Cecilia Pupa of Barangay Poblacion, Carmen was chosen as the first recipient of “Tindahan Mo, Ablihan ni Tsip” sari-sari store.

Pupa is a single mother of three children who sells fish in the morning and banana cue in the afternoon. (AYB, TPT)
