STARTING 10 p.m. on Friday, July 30, 2021, the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) will set up checkpoints in the different areas in the city following orders issued by Acting Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama.

According to Police Colonel Josefino Ligan, head of CCPO, they will inspect all vehicles, including those privately owned. He said they will inspect vehicles one by one to check the number of persons inside.

They will also strictly implement the curfew in the city amid the presence of Delta variant cases in Cebu.

They are also planning to patrol barangays to ensure that residents are inside their homes by 10 p.m.

CCPO will also be putting up boundary checkpoints.

Cebu City has roads in the mountain areas adjacent to Mandaue City, Consolacion, Compostela, Balamban, and Toledo City. (AYB)
