THE personnel of the Philippine Army (PA)-53rd Engineer Brigade delivered 500 blankets, pillows and bath towels to the sites in Batangas, southern Luzon where the families evacuated after the eruption of Taal Volcano.

The officers delivered their donations on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020, at the evacuation centers—the national high school in Bilaran town and senior high school in Tuy town.

Dubbed as “Tabang Taal ng Kawal Inhinyero,” the outreach activity was led by Brig. Gen. Joselyn Regis-Bandarlipe. The 53rd Engineer Brigade is based in Camp Lapu-Lapu in Cebu City. Each of the personnel donated P150, one-day mess allowance, so the group could procure the items.

Other participants in the activity were the PA-54th Engineer Brigade, PA-514th Engineer Construction Battalion and Alex Pimentel of Nasugbu, Batangas’ Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office. (S)
