Cebu City Hall coop to hold assembly

Sunnexdesk

THE Cebu City Government Employees Housing Cooperative (CCGEHC) will hold its general assembly on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020.

The event will start at 8 a.m. and end at 12 p.m. It will be at the social hall on the fourth floor of the Cebu City Legislative Building.

Part of the agenda is the election of new officers. The assembly will also tackle other matters.

The CCGEHC, now on its sixth year, is hopeful to proceed with its main objective of providing houses for Cebu City government employees.

A survey conducted between 2013 and 2014 shows that 75 percent of City Hall employees do not own homes. They are either renting or living with their relatives.

Some employees are informal settlers who are often threatened with demolition.

The CCGEHC needs to energize itself with positivity towards its goals.
