Cebu City issues revised PUV protocols under MECQ

WITH the implementation of the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) in Cebu City, the Cebu City Government has revised some protocols to be implemented inside public utility vehicles (PUVs) starting Sunday, August 1, 2021.

The Cebu City Transportation Office issued the guidelines on its Facebook page.

Below are the revised PUV protocols from the Committee on Transportation.



Cebu City Acting Mayor Michael Rama earlier assured that transport will remain operational, businesses will stay open and vaccinations will continue even if more stringent quarantine restrictions are enforced in Cebu City in the next two weeks.

President Rodrigo Duterte approved Inter-Agency Task Force Resolution 130-A, which placed Cebu City and Cebu Province under MECQ along with the cities of Mandaue and Lapu-Lapu from August 1 to 15, 2021.
