THE next stop of the mobile markets in Cebu City will be in Barangays Quiot, Budlaan, and Sambag II starting 8 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2020.

For those who are planning to buy, the Cebu City Public Office (PIO) has urged residents to wear face masks with "cool designs" as the City has prepared “something” for them.

In a Facebook post, the PIO also reminded consumers to strictly observe social distancing.

“Observe social distancing. Wear your face mask with coolest design, we have something for you,” the Facebook post reads.

Meat, fruits, vegetables and other food supplies are available at the mobile markets.

The mobile markets first visited Barangay Apas on Thursday.

The City came up with the program following the implementation of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) and to limit the mobility of people.

Cebu City Administrator Jonil Matuguina explained that barangay captains have to coordinate with the City, or through the office of Cebu City Councilor Renato Osmeña Jr., chairman of the committee on markets, so the mobile markets will be deployed to their barangay.

Around 18 mobile markets will roam around Cebu City. (JJL)
