THE Cebu City Government is set to open more vaccination sites as the City targets to vaccinate more than 10,000 individuals a day.

The City currently inoculates an average of 5,000 to 7,000 vaccinees a day.

It has seven vaccination sites including the University of Cebu Banilad, Robinsons Galleria, SM Seaside, UC Senior High School Private Campus, New Normal Oasis for Adaptation and a Home Complex, Ayala Center Cebu, and in Waterfront Hotel.

Cebu City Health Department officer-in-charge Doctor Jeffrey Ibones said they are preparing to open a vaccination site at the University of San Carlos downtown campus, University of San Jose-Recoletos, Cebu Institute of Technology-University, University of Visayas, SM City Cebu, and Ayala Central Bloc.

The City targets to open a total of 21 vaccination sites, however, the hiring of manpower remains a challenge. (JJL)
