TWO community precincts of the Mabolo Police Station in the Cebu Business Park and Cebu IT Park were inaugurated yesterday. Aniceto Bisnar Jr., Cebu Holdings Inc. (CHI) president, led the turnover of the two buildings to officials of the Police Regional Office (PRO) 7 and the Cebu City Police Office.

The construction of the buildings worth P3.5 million was shouldered by the CHI. Each precinct has 21 personnel.

Bisnar said that 85,000 employees work at the Cebu IT Park and Cebu Business Park.

“We are turning over these...as part of our partnership with the government and the Philippine National Police (PNP) to ensure that we will have peace and order and complete police-community services to our locators here in Cebu Business Park as well as in Cebu IT Park,” Bisnar told reporters.

Chief Supt. Debold Sinas, PRO 7 director, said they are grateful to CHI.

“This will give us an opportunity for a quick response,” he said.

Msgr. Roberto Alesna, an independent director of Cebu Property Ventures and Development Corp., blessed the two sub-stations.

For Bisnar, he said the police need support from the private sector in the fight against illegal drugs and other crimes.

“We hope this sets a good example to the rest of the private sector in Cebu to give a hand in helping our PNP so that this partnership will result in a peaceful business environment so we can attract foreign and local investors to Cebu,” he said. (KAL)
