ZONTA Cebu 1 is convening a transformative empowerment and leadership program for women on Saturday, Jan. 26, at the ballroom of Maayo Hotel in Mandaue City.

The event will start at 1 p.m. and will end at 5 p.m. It carries the theme, “The Quiet Strength of Women—A Force to Change the World.”

The conference addresses a growing corps of Cebuana chief executive officers, senior managers and young professionals who are rapidly moving into leadership roles.

Zonta Cebu 1 is working with PSEFI-SKILLS and Together We Can Change The World (TWCCTW), a US-based organization dedicated to improving the well-being of disadvantaged children and women in Southeast Asia.

Five internationally renowned speakers from TWCCTW will form the panel of presenters and facilitate the breakout group discussions.

The topics include building bridges and breaking barriers-female style, understanding EQ (emotional quotient) and emotionally intelligent leadership and harnessing one’s personal uniqueness in a leadership role.

A session on lessons learned from Silicon Valley will give participants a chance to hear key ideas from some of Silicon Valley’s most admired companies.

The panelists include Lynnn Leahy, MA, Susan Friedmann, CSP, Rhonda Faught, Jana Stanfield and Rebecca Morgan, CSP, CMC.

“The Quiet Strength of Women—A Force to Change the World” is open to everyone who is interested in the issue of women empowerment in leadership roles.
