Dead fetus found abandoned in Balamban dumpsite

A DEAD fetus was found abandoned in a dumpsite in Barangay Lamesa in the western town of Balamban, Cebu on Monday, February 6, 2023.

The Balamban Police Station received a call around 3:30 p.m. from a concerned citizen that a scavenger had discovered the body inside an empty gallon of ice cream and reported the matter to the barangay.

A team led by Master Sergeant Alby Agua went to the area around 6:40 p.m. to retrieve the male fetus believed to be around six months old.

The operation was witnessed by barangay residents and the barangay health worker.

The fetus was turned over to the Gemma Funeral Homes in Barangay Cantuod. (GPL, PJB)

Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit.
