THE two dialysis centers in the provincial hospitals of the cities of Carcar and Danao are expected to be operational by March this year.

During the presentation by Medtronix Medical Supplies and Equipment to the Cebu Provincial Government’s Economic Enterprise Council on Friday, Jan. 27, 2023, the company revealed that the construction of the dialysis centers is expected to be completed in two months’ time.

Last December, Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia signed an agreement with Medtronix to put up a dialysis center in the two province-run hospitals.

Under the agreement, Medtronix will provide a direct feed reverse osmosis machine, water pre-treatment system, 15 regular hemodialysis machines, 15 recliner chairs and two medical technicians in each center.

The two dialysis centers will complement the existing dialysis facility at the Balamban Provincial Hospital in midwest Cebu, which has 10 hemodialysis units. (ANV / TPT)
