DSWD 7 denies barring lumad kid from meeting her father

THE Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) 7 denied allegations that it withheld an IP child in its custody from her father.

“The father and child were allowed to meet and talk at the facility of the department last Feb. 26,” said DSWD 7 in a press statement.

The IP child is among the lumad children “rescued” from a Lumad bakwit school in Cebu City last month.
