THE Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) 7 and the National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction (NHTS-PR) conducted a mass hiring of field staff for the implementation of the third round of Listahanan (List) household assessment for 2019.

This is in compliance with Section 2 of Executive Order 867, which requires the DSWD to update the NHTS-PR every four years.

The simultaneous screening for the Listahanan applicant for encoders, verifiers, enumerators, area supervisors and area coordinators were conducted in different parts of the region last July 16–26.

Hired applicants will conduct the household assessment to identify who and where the poor residents are, with the use of proxy means test.

The data that will be gathered from the household assessment will be used as basis for the selection of beneficiaries for the social protection programs

The first Listahanan household assessment was conducted in 2009; Listahanan was able to identify 314,654 poor households in Central Visayas. While the second assessment was done in 2015, Listahanan identified 534,433 poor households across Central Visayas.
