PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte may visit the area hit by a massive landslide in Barangay Tina-an, City of Naga, Cebu that buried several houses and claimed the lives of a number of people.

The Media Accreditation and Relations Office said that the Office of the President-Events Management Cluster (OP-EMC), which is the advance party of the President, inspected the site yesterday.

Duterte will be in Cebu today as guest of the Asia Pacific Association of Gastroenterology biennial clinical conference on inflammatory bowel diseases at the Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa in Barangay Punta Engaño, Lapu-Lapu City.

Based on his schedule, the President is expected to arrive at the resort at 4 p.m. today for the conference. But it is not yet known if he will visit Naga prior to the conference or after.

It is also yet to be determined if he will just do an aerial survey or personally inspect the affected area. HBL
