Ermita students learn art from Jojo Sagayno

CEBU Centennial Lions Club has sponsored an art workshop for students from Ermita Elementary School starting last September.

The workshop covers 15 Saturday afternoon sessions, which started during the first week of September.

Cebuano artist Jojo Sagayno conducts the weekly sessions.

Sessions include freehand drawing, introduction to drawing from the right side of the brain, vase-face and contour drawing, positive and negative space, tonal values using charcoal pencil, still life drawing using charcoal pencil, introduction to watercolor and techniques, watercolor landscape and seascape, introduction to oil pastel and techniques, oil pastel on felt paper, landscape and seascape using oil pastel and mixed media artwork.

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
