Fire strikes Ibabao, Mandaue City, razes 2 establishments, damages 1

TWO establishments were destroyed and one was damaged when a fire struck Sitio Bayabas, Barangay Ibabao, Mandaue City yesterday dawn.

According to SF01 Edson Dapal of the Mandaue City Fire Department, Crest Sun Industrial Products and Stator Rewinding Shop were razed, while Arbees Bakeshop was partially burned.

Damage to properties was pegged at around P1 million.

The fire department received the alarm at 12:53 a.m., which was raised to third alarm.

The flames were placed under control after half an hour.

“Fire out” was declared at 2:15 a.m.

Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the fire.

No one was reported hurt or killed during the incident. (FVQ)
