Foreigner jumps off Cebu City hotel

A 66-YEAR-OLD American national died after he jumped from an upper floor in a hotel in Barangay Mabolo, Cebu City on Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 29, 2019.

The foreigner was identified as Michael Douglas Hunter.

Citing a spot report from the Mabolo Police Station, Cebu City Police Office Director Gemma Vinluan said the incident happened around 3 p.m. at the Mabolo Royal Hotel on M.J. Cuenco Ave.

“Based on the account of a witness, the American jumped from the eighth floor of the hotel, resulting in his death,” Vinluan said.

She said her personnel were tasked to investigate the incident to make sure there was no foul play involved.
