Girl missing in Carcar City

A 13-YEAR-OLD girl went missing after a big wave swept her away past 2 p.m. on Monday, October 4, 2021, in Sitio Pungtod Dahunan, Barangay Perrelos, Carcar City.

Jan Kristel Encabo is a resident of Sitio Lumbia in Barangay Can-asujan, Carcar City.

She was reported missing on Monday at 7 p.m. As of writing, Encabo is yet to be found.

Police Corporal Reggie Noel Espinoza of the Carcar Police Station told SunStar Superbalita that a woman named Rose Ann Caballero, 20, from Sitio Lumbia in Barangay Can-asujan, Carcar City, filed the missing person report.

She said that they were out swimming on the beach with the victim when a big wave hit them and swept Encabo away. The group of friends tried searching for her but to no avail.
