Gullas investigates lechon seller

TALISAY City Mayor Gerald Anthony "Samsam" Gullas Jr. has ordered an investigation against a certain lechon business operating in Laray, Barangay San Roque, Talisay City.

This is following a complaint that the Office of the Mayor was recently made aware of involving a Lapu-Lapu resident who ordered lechon online from the aforementioned business.

The complainant, who asked for help from a radio station in Cebu City, also posted about the incident on social media which was how it reached Gullas.

According to the complainant, the order was for September 26, but after following up from the seller, he/she was told that the order was not prepared, possibly forgotten. No lechon arrived at their residence.

The complainant also said that he/she was no longer able to contact the seller as he/she was blocked.

The complainant’s post on social media caught the attention of Mayor Gullas, who immediately launched an investigation to address the issue.

Gullas expressed his disappointment over the incident as this gives a negative light on the city, which is famous for its lechon.

“Daghan maaung Talisaynon namaligya ug tinarong kay gusto nila hatagan ug dungog ang atong lechon sa Talisay,” said Gullas.

The City of Talisay is known for having the best lechon. Every year on the 15th of October, during the feast of St. Theresa of Avila, the city holds a “Lechon Festival”. (BBT with CBQ)
