A SUSPECTED drug pusher was killed after allegedly attempting to fight off police officers trying to collar him in a drug bust in Barangay Tanke, Talisay City, at dawn Wednesday, September 12.

Drug enforcement units from the Talisay City Police Station and the Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) neutralized Billy Baguio, a resident of Sitio Galaxy in Barangay Tanke during an operation around 3 a.m.

Superintendent Marlu Conag, Talisay City Police chief, told reporters that his operatives were able to locate Baguio's whereabouts after receiving information from a concerned citizen.

As operatives attempted to conduct a drug bust on Baguio, the suspect was able to detect the police and started to fight back using a .357 caliber pistol.

But DEU operatives fought back, hitting Baguio in several parts of his body.

Baguio died instantly, said Conag.

Recovered from the suspect's possession were his weapon, six small packs of suspected shabu, and drug paraphernalia.

Conag said that Baguio is known in the barangay as a high-level drug pusher, as most of the station's arrested drug offenders often get their supplies from him.

Aside from illegal drugs, Baguio also sidelined as a gun-for-hire. (JKV)
