High-value target yields P1.4M in 'shabu'

ABOUT P1.4 million worth of shabu was seized from a high-value individual at Barangay Singcang-Airport, Bacolod City past midnight Thursday, May 19.

Major Joerey Puerto, commander of Police Station 8, identified the suspect as Gerald Barillo, 25, alias "Jer" of the barangay's Purok Neptune.

Puerto said 20 sachets of shabu, P2,000 mark money and P250 in cash.

He said Barillo was getting his supply from a drug personality in their barangay, who has been under police surveillance.

Barillo himself is also under police watch and was listed as one of Barangay Singcang-Airport's top drug personalities having been into this illegal trade since he was young, Puerto added.

Meanwhile, in Silay City, Michael Uberas, 36, of the locality's Barangay Hawaian was arrested around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, in a drug bust.

Silay City police officer-in-charge Major Joevito Bose said that Uberas was arrested at his residence in Purok Riverside with eight sachets of the contraband weighing seven grams and valued at P47,600, an improvised tooter and the P600 buy-bust money.
