PAWN is set to launch the much-awaited sophomore issue of its official zine called Still No Direction at Turtle’s Nest on Gorordo Ave. in Cebu City at 9 p.m. Saturday, March 2.

The event will be accompanied by the release of a compilation album, which features the deviant and diverse music of The Spirals, Potemkin, Bombo Pluto Ova, The Pervs, TAWO, Mural, Garland, Cross Three Runs, ZFX, Karma and Ala Ahkbar.

Still No Direction’s sophomore issue contains interviews of Manila-based bands Pastilan Dong and Cancer City, visual artist Ernest Dino, and two foreign deejays of the cult of cacophony: Solo and DJ Urine. There are also the much-awaited album reviews, the glamorous photographs, the amusing advertisements and a little bit of an art review.

PAWN is a non-profit record label and literary publishing arm constructed from the remnants of a “bomb” by one of the pioneers in the art of zineology, Erik Tuban.

With the help of some of Tuban’s friends (Marilu Aznar, Louell Armas-Lopez, Ernest Dino, CD Borden and Skullcapp mastermind Bradley Tenchavez), PAWN has been making waves in the local music and literary scene.

The event will be graced by the performances of SZH, Die Radio and most of the bands featured in the compilation album. The admission for the PAWN’s feast of rock ‘n’ roll and literature is free.
