ITCZ brings rain in some parts of Cebu

Sunnexdesk

THE northern part of Cebu will experience scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms until tomorrow because of the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ).

Weather Specialist May Casilagan of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) Mactan said that the ITCZ occurs when the trade winds of the northern and southern hemispheres converge.

The ITCZ now covers Visayas, Palawan and Mindanao.

Casilagan said that the ITCZ will end on Monday, but it will again affect different parts of the country next week. (EOB)
