THE City Government of Lapu-Lapu will be sending a notice to explain to two private hospitals whose infectious medical wastes were seen floating on the waters of Barangay Ibo.

Lawyer Ethelbert Ouano of the City Legal Office said that based on the report of the sanitary inspector of Lapu-Lapu, the wastes fished out of the waters came from two private hospitals.

The City is giving the hospitals five days to explain themselves.

Aside from this, the City Environment and Natural Resources Office will issue citation tickets against the two hospitals. (FVQ of Superbalita)
